The Greater LA Scoutreach program expands the Scouting experience by forming strategic partnerships with organizations like LA County Parks and Recreation, LA City Housing Authority, LAPD CSP, Environmental Charter Middle School (Inglewood), El Monte City School District, Homeboy Industries, and Hollenbeck Youth Center. These collaborations help bring Scouting to diverse families in innovative ways.
While traditional Scouting activities like camping, swimming, hiking, and leadership remain core, our program also emphasizes STEM, environmental studies, physical education, financial literacy, and community service. With over 130 Merit Badges—including Archery, First Aid, Personal Management, Computer/Video Game Design, and Zoology—plus High Adventure and camping opportunities across the LA Basin, there’s something for everyone.
We also partner with AEG, the LA Kings, USC, LMU, and UCLA Athletics to provide sports exposure and educational experiences, while career education is supported by Bank of Hope, Enterprise Business Bank, and Silicon Valley Bank.
Our co-ed programs serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade. In 2021, we provided summer camp for 300+ youth, celebrated over eight new Eagle Scouts, and logged more than 10,000 hours of community service.
