The morning began with a stirring Color Guard ceremony presented by Pack 130 and Troop 351, setting a tone of reverence and patriotism. Reverend Cecil Jeter of Gospel Ministry Baptist provided the Invocation.

Special remarks were delivered by Exploring Program’s Fire Cadet of Post 87, Omar Garcia and Eagle Scout Anthony Zelaya, a second-year student at Cal Poly Pomona from Troop 121 in Eagle Rock. Both young men shared personal stories of how Scouting had shaped their lives and aspirations, inspiring the audience with their commitment to service and leadership.

Board Chairman and President, Steve Rothans, partner at Carpenter, Rothans and Dumont, LLP, along with CEO and Scout Executive, Bob Kurkjian, both Eagle Scouts themselves, also took the stage to express their gratitude to the sponsors and supporters who help ensure Scouting’s bright future in the Greater Los Angeles Area. Kurkjian highlighted the importance of continued community involvement and investment in youth development, emphasizing Scouting’s role in shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

This inspiring gathering not only celebrated the legacy and impact of Scouting but also reinforced a shared vision for its future, fueled by the support of business and community leaders and with an emphasis on Scouting is for Everyone.
